Gayatri Mantra was written by Maharishi Vishvamitra and taken from the Rig Veda, the oldest of Vedic scriptures. Gayatri is the essence of all four Vedas. Gayatri Devi or Goddess Gayatri is depicted with five faces and ten hands seated on a red lotus flower.
