Ganga Aarti / Puja is very vital in Hinduism as the Ganga is a river of myriad moods and mythic memories that rush turbulently from its source in the Himalaya to meander through the plains as its flows to meet the sea. Considered the most sacred river in India, it has been a life-sustaining river for millions. It has shared theirs joys and sorrows for millennia. And has been witness to the unravelling of human drama that is enacted along its banks.
As we travel down the Ganga from Devprayag to Varanasi, the river invites us to follow the stream of consciousness – the river that flows within. This journey is conceived as a voyage in time and space blending the physical with the metaphysical.
